As members of this church, we believe in the following statement of faith:
A. The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the
original writings and are the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men and are the
divine and final authority of all Christian faith and life. (II Timothy 3: 16; II Peter 1:20-21)
B. There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons –
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1 Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3-4; John 10:30; John 15:26)
C. Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the
virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose
bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where, at the right hand of the Majesty on high, He is
now our High Priest and Advocate. (Matthew 1:18-24; John 1:14; I Timothy 2:5; Philippians 2:5-8;
Hebrews 9; I John 2:1,2)
D. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men
and to regenerate, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
(John 15:26; 16:8-15)
E. Man was created by God in His image and in His likeness, but man fell into sin and thereby
incurred to himself and his posterity not only physical death, but also spiritual death. As a result, all
human beings are born “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1), with a sin nature, and under
the just condemnation of God. (Genesis 3:1-21; John 3:5; Ephesians 2:1-3; Titus (3:5)
F. The perfect sinless life of Jesus Christ, His shed blood, and His resurrection provide the only basis
for the justification for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the
Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. (John 1:12; 7:39; Ephesians 1:7-14; Romans 3:24;10:9,10,13)
G. All who place their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately baptized by the Holy Spirit into one united
spiritual body, the church, (I Corinthians 12:12,13) of which Christ is the head. (Ephesians 1:13,14,22; 4:15;
Colossians 1:18)
H. Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Jesus Christ, being obedient to His Command. (Matthew 28:19,20; Romans 6:1-5) The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service which sets forth, in sacred and symbolic manner, the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers, and only believers, should partake of it. (I Corinthians 1:23-29)
I. Believers are to devote themselves to one another in local assemblies, church, (Hebrews 10:23-25)
and every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs. (Acts 6:1-5)
J. We believe in the personal and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “Blessed
Hope” has a vital bearing in the personal life and service of the believer. (Acts 1:10,11; Titus 2:11-13;
I John 2:28)
K. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment. (I Corinthians 15; I Thessalonians 4:15-18; Revelation 20:11-15)
